Agitator Seals are ideal for applications, which involve sticky, pasty and dry media. They are designed for handling severe services like handling the products which emit toxic vapors during reaction process.
These seals are Cartridge type pre-assembled and tested seals. They are mainly used for viscous, dry, sticky fluids in Huge Mixers, Agitators, Reactor Vessels, Driers for Paint Industries, Plastic, Food and Pharmaceuticals Industries.
Agitator Seals are installed with two arrangements. Top Entry and Bottom Entry. They are mounted outside of the equipment, which in turn safeguards the seals from the products liquid fumes.
These are used with Pressurized Buffer Fluid, preferably clean soft water because of good heat transfer qualities to handle fluids like oil, hydrocarbons solvents etc. In total, these type of seals have two Mechanical Seals, one Sleeve, Gland Housing and Bearing Assembly.
Agitator Seals have bearings which are located very close to the seal. This special feature effectively arrests the shaft whip for smooth and trouble free operations enabling enhanced seal life. The cooling jacket also helps to maintain cool environment around the seal.
